Æther Necklace, Silver

£185.00

Æther was the God of light in Greek mythology. He was the son of Erebus and Nyx.

The heavens are made out of aether, which is translucent and unchanging, neither hot nor cold, dry nor damp.

In Homeric Greek it means ‘pure, fresh air’ or ‘clear sky’. In Greek mythology, it was thought to be the pure essence that the gods breathed, filling the space where they lived, analogous to the air breathed by mortals.

This lightweight necklace, inspired by Æther, includes a freshwater baroque pearl.

*Please expect some slight variation to the shape of the pearls as they are naturally irregular in size and shape.

Sterling Silver, Freshwater Pearl.
