I’m Artemis Russell, a jewellery designer from the Isle of Wight. I trained in Fine Art at Camberwell and Falmouth Colleges of Art, initially exploring photography and video installation before discovering my love for making small, intricate jewellery.

I trained in silver and goldsmithing in London’s Hatton Garden and went on to design collections for UK brands, including Paris Fashion Week exhibitions and diamond and wedding ring ranges.

In 2020, I founded Only Through Shadows, creating everyday jewellery that’s effortless to wear and crafted mindfully with the planet in mind. Jewellery should also be playful and captivating, and my children often inspire and guide my designs.

My studio, surrounded by sea, woods, and rolling downs at the Isle of Wight’s western tip, is a constant source of inspiration.
