London Town
It’s been a long whilst since I’ve been up to London, which is odd because I lived there most of my adult life. Being a tourist there is much better though! I recently took my two children for a few days, to look around the city and go and see a show on Drury Lane (Totoro Show, which was absolutely amazing!). We briefly popped into the Portrait Gallery, which is my favourite place to look at patterns and jewellery. The Elizabethan paintings are incredible. I didn’t take hardly any photos, so here are a few that I did manage…
A very distorted Isle of Wight!
Beautiful grimy old paintwork in Spitalfields.
Spitalfields Antqiue market. Such a crime that most of the antique stalls have now been replaced with trendy food vendors, like there isn’t enough of those already!
The kids and I love a good rummage, P found some charms and bracelet to put them on here.
And I found these, 7 for £5 so we came away with quite a haul. I’m not sure what I will do with these but maybe they belong together? I might add them to make one bracelet.
Very Chinese? I love this little Temple.
And this ‘Girl Adventures’ badge. Maybe Girl Guides perhaps.
Of course Mr. L came away with these vehicles to fix up. He always manages to find a box of random cars somewhere.
We had a lovely half-term break, looking around ChinaTown and Soho, as well as Selfridges and West End shops! I let them choose what we did, it was fun! You can find lots more posts about our London explorations over on my personal blog that goes way back many years!
Now comes all the hard work jewellery making for the run up to Xmas which has started now. Keep an eye out later in the month for a little pre-xmas discount!
Thanks for reading about our little adventure x
