Ametrine is a bi-coloured crystal that is a mix of two different minerals, Amethyst and Citrine.
Ametrine is formed when tiny iron particles locked inside the matrix of the quartz crystals begin to oxidise at different rates.
This is usually due to differences in temperature between the two different parts of the stones.
The spiritual meaning of Ametrine is all about balance, courage, and strength. It is known as a stone of harmony because it combines the energies of both Amethyst and Citrine.
This rectangular cut stone has gentle graduating colours and is held in a 9ct gold claw setting and suspended on a fine trace chain.
